Well, it may be a ways off, but I have been stocking the cupboard with impending Christmas gifts:
I preserved some strawberry-rhubarb jam for gift-giving this year. How's that for preparedness? (Not to mention that it's pretty darn yummy.) In other news from my part of the world:
- I finished stripping all of the "Hey, Diddle Diddle" wallpaper in my son's room while he was away at camp; now it's ready for some paint.
- Baseball Season for said son has ended, and his team won the Championship for their age division. !!
- I'm currently reading this book, because seriously, we've still got a lot of summer left and the sibling bickering is at an all-time high. Like, as I type they're going at it. Ugh.
Life is good, but I've lost my blogging mojo; I'll visit this space at least once a month for now.
Thanks for stopping by,
Paige
Is that book helping? Because we're deep in that ourselves.

You're so on the ball to be putting jam away for Christmas. Yum! I have grand plans to start a sweater for my niece. I have the yarn and everything. Just lacking the motivation!

Girl - I feel your pain. I've heard my share of "MMMMOOOOOOOOMMM! blah blah blah blah blah". I might have to check that book out ... maybe a TTPT review ;-) I'm with you on the lack of blogging mojo - wish I had that bloggin' feeling back but for right now it's gone ... gone ... gone - woooooooh. I ~wish~ I was with you on the Christmas preparedness (is that a word?). sigh. There's always tomorrow.

My kids are grown now and we never heard "he's breathing on me", but there was a time in my life when I swore if I heard "He's looking at me!" just one more time.....

Please tell us if the book is working....summer feels looooooong.
Good to hear from you, if only in bursts. I was just thinking about you while camping this week. Ahhhhhh...the good parts of summer are really, really good. I'm hoping to make sour cherry jam this week.

That book is AWESOME!!! And it does work, when you can stick to it. I need to actually buy my own copy because I got one from the library and as soon as I sent it back, I forgot many of the "what to say if...." Thanks for the reminder. Also glad I'm not the only blogger with no mojo this summer!

You sound like me...about the whole blogging mojo think. I hope it comes back. I just about managed to blog today--after a whole two months. Crazy. And thumbs up to you. You are way prepared for Xmas gift-giving!

Really book is nice. This book starts so well, rich in humour, character, and a strong sense of place. And captured me from the first few pages. I could not wait to keep reading. I reward myself with it every night.

I am trying to get my blogging mojo back, and I'm starting by reading all the lovely blog posts I've missed from my favorites. Hello!
