Welcome to my first FO of 2011:
It's the Sockhead Hat, ravelled here. This was a project that I kept in my purse for on-the-go knitting, which is why it took quite a while to complete. It was one of those knits that I'd pull out here and there, my "while waiting" project...you know, at stoplights or in traffic, violin and tumbling lessons, etc. Now that it's complete, I've got a new purse project wound-up and ready for waiting:
More Moira Mitts, knit with yarn from Quince and Co. in the Gingerbread colorway. I'm totally in love with this yarn right now, and their color options are so fabulous.
Do you have a "while waiting" project in your purse or bag?
Love the hat....I think you beat us all with a finished project so early on in the year!

All of my projects are "while waiting" projects. I don't like to be without my needles!

You know what - I don't - but I need to. I best get on that ;-) Love the hat!

It's gonna be a sock year for me. We don't have a lot of lessons (none actually) but Saturday my 3 year old attended her first birthday party for someone we didn't really know and I took my knitting so I could sit in the background and be available. I was glad I had it even though I'm pretty sure the parents thought I was weird. I also took a homemade gift, which I'm not sure was appreciated. It's kind of hard to leave my circle!!

LOVE. That reminds me--I have been wanting to make one too. Forever.

That gingerbread yarn is so yummy! Love the sockhead hat too.
My on-the-go projects tend to be just whatever I'm working on at the time, unless they get to big and can't travel. Riff and I are going to Portland tomorrow, 2 hours away, so I'll be taking the knit diaper bag I'm working on. Lots of extra knitting time!
