Good morning! It's 5:30am and since I couldn't go back to sleep I thought I'd get up and write a quick post before the kids get up and our day gets underway.
Not long ago I finished knitting that little monster up there, which I'm planning to give to a friend's little girl for Christmas this year. I was surprised at how much yarn I had leftover when I was done...perhaps there's even enough to knit another Green Gourmet to keep for myself here at home, because I think he's' just too cute to not live on the shelf above my sewing machine.
The pattern/kit is from Rebecca Danger, and her book of monsters will be out after the New Year; I do believe there will be more knitting of monsters around here for sure.
Right now I'm knitting a sweater for Charlie, and the going is rather slow. I misjudged his size and was making good progress until suspicion set in. Sure enough, I was knitting it way too small (that boy is growing, I tell ya!), and now I've started over. However, we've got lots of snow coming this weekend (10-12 inches), so I'm planning to hunker-down and knit like the wind. The writing of Christmas cards will have to wait a little longer....
Happy weekend to you!
Happy weekend and I love the froggy he is just to cute.

Yes. I think you either need to keep the green monster or get those needles clickity-clacking on another one. And sadly, boys do keep growing. Why I looked at my 12 year old the other day and realized we were actually seeing eye to eye (literally, certainly not figuratively).

Some little girl is going to love her green monster! He's super cute! Hope your weekend is all you expected it to be, knitting wise. We're stormy with lots of rain and big winds, so I got some good knitting time in yesterday too.
