I just love the blue yarn, and I have the perfect project in mind for it. I've never knit and felted a bag before, but I'm gonna give this one a try - and embroider the heck out of it after it's felted; I've been feeling the itch to embroider lately.
I really loved this pattern, and I'm happy to have completed my first (wearable) cowl. (My saggy, baggy Delores Park is gonna be headed for the warshing machine for a little felting. Bad idea? Dunno, but at this point it's unwearable and I'm desperate.)
I've also cast on for a pair of socks, and I'm following the instructions and a stitch pattern from my new favorite book, Sensational Knitted Socks. A lady at the store where I bought the book said it was fantastic and the only book on socks I'll ever need, and I believe her; that, and it's high time I ventured out of my comfort zone and tried some socks with cool stitch patterns in them. So far I've had to restart a couple times because I couldn't wrap my brain around the yarn-overs, but now I'm truckin' right along in the hammer lane!
Hope you're having a fabulous week so far, and thanks for all the Wanderings love - I really appreciate your comments. I love 'ya, man!
That blue yarn is one of my favorite colors. I've really been wanting to felt a bag (well, I have to knit it first) and that looks like a good pattern.
Love the cowl. Felting the DPC is actually a pretty good idea...says the girl who has no idea what she is talking about.

I keep wanting to felt old sweaters that I have, but I haven't done it yet. Let me know how the cowl turns out!

I am in love with that soft blue yarn....I am heading to the yarn shop and I must find a similar color! Thermis is in my queue just waiting for summer, um I mean, free time for knitting!

The Thermis Cowl is Gorgeous! Love the buttons and way it opens when worn. Excellent color choice too. I'm feeling inspired!
Have fun felting and it sounds like Sensational Knitted Socks is a book I'll have to invest in. My first pair of socks EVER will be going on the needles in another couple days.

My Dolores Park cowl turned out kinda lame too. I'm going to frog it. Love the Thermis cowl you made. I think I recognize that yarn. It knits up so beautifully!

Love the Thermis. The buttons are a nice touch they give it panache.
